if not, can I turn into a squid when holding a sponge underwater?
also, so coops isn't the only one helping people, maybe those around me in a...4 block radius underwater either don't drown, like me, or drown a bit slower?

While in squid form, other players may right-click you to begin riding you, allowing them to follow you while you propel yourself through the water. The infinite air effect of your power is shared with your "passenger". Squid form ends when you change your held item or leave the water.

Evasion - When dropping below three hearts of health, can potentially gain a speed effect. Effect occurs if you avoid further damage for a few seconds. The longer you avoid damage, the greater your speed effect becomes. Damage and healing cancel the effect. Coded this way so you can't simply sprint away from someone who is beating you in a fight unless you can effectively avoid additional damage.

Aero Blade - Attacks with a sword create a gust of wind that propels forward, knocking back any entity it comes into contact with. Knockback is great enough to blow enemies off cliffs, into lava, etc. While the attack disperses when coming in contact with a wall, it will reassemble and continue on the other side. Superpower: Gust velocity and knockback velocity increase. And no, I wasn't able to get a tornado effect to work yet, sorry.

THAT sounds so EPICCCCCCC!!! If the tornado doesnt come together, it would be ok with anything that represents where the "tornado" is like a floating ball of sorts, but thats sounds soooooo cool

What I did for a visual effect is made it look like your sword is shooting several feathers, in an attempt to simulate a wind current. I then used the velocity of each feather to determine the knockback velocity of anyone hit by them. Later on I may be able to improve it by making the feathers have a curved velocity instead of a straight one. Sancitfy - Removed.
Godspeed - Left-clicking while holding a glowstone block breaks it, giving you increased speed and making you flashy. Effect lasts until glowstone block is used again. I tried to make it so a glowstone block would like spin around you (think lightning shield used by shamans in WoW), but for one my trigonometry skills are terrible, and for another it's apparently impossible to teleport an item more than once per second, so I ditched it. I may attempt this effect again in the future.

Feather Fall - Any time you fall any distance great enough to harm you, your descent is slowed down, allowing you to land safely. Like Aero Blade, this also comes with a spiffy feather effect. Unfortunately for some reason you lose some of your horizontal momentum when this kicks in.

Soul Shatter - Left-clicking with an ender pearl shatters it, temporarily draining most nearby light sources, shrouding the area in darkness. Enemies in the area become afflicted, their health slowly draining until they either move to a well-lit area or they die. Light-draining effect lasts 15 seconds, power has a 15-second cooldown. This power specifically targets torches, glowstone, and powered redstone lamps, swapping them with unpowered redstone torches, gold blocks, and unpowered redstone lamps respectively. As a safety precaution and to prevent exploiting the block-swapping effect, blocks which have been swapped can't be broken until they're swapped back. Redstone torches are unaffected so as to prevent messing up redstone circuits.
This concludes version 2.6, I'll be sending this to Hlot following this post.

When normal phasing duration ends, instead of being forceably unphased, the ability "destabilizes", resulting in one lapis being shattered per second. You'll remain invisible but other players will see the shatter effect. Using lapis again unphases you as it did previously, but no damage or explosion will take place if the ability is already unstable. You're also forceably unphased if the ability destabilizes and you have no lapis on your inventory.

Bone Blade - When swinging an iron sword, if you have any bones in your inventory, they'll be launched. Bones deal 1.5 hearts of damage to enemies and shatter on impact. They also alert nearby wolves to come attack your target (or they would, stupid AI, etc). Bones shot at wild wolves will tame them.

With air powers I can push people back a few blocks but when im underground 7 blocks or more its disabled for me(the underground has a lack of air like the real world). Next is the fire powers, I can create fires and make lava sources (making sources has 7 min cool down) and I have a fire aura. I can also shoot fire charges my left clicking a fire charge. Thats all and good night!

Fyre Aura - Immune to lava. Hunger regenerates when on fire. Damaged by water. Hunger degenerates in rain. While in lava all items in inventory gradually lose durability but will not break.

Gunblade - Attacks with swords also fire an arrow in the same direction. By right-clicking while holding a sword, can change arrow types to fire. Molotov arrows explode on impact and ignite nearby enemies, requires fire charge.

As I'm sure some of you have realized, many powers have stopped working like they used to, or may even get you kicked off the server by the anticheat plugin. The main reason this is happening is because we switched anticheat plugins; many powers were coded to bypass NoCheatPlus, but now that we're using a different anticheat plugin this bypass isn't working.
Noticeable effects of this are:
- Ranged attacks may not damage enemies
- Abilities that alter velocity may cause glitched movement
- Recovery and damage alterations may not be effective
To remedy this, I'm working on an extensive bypass code that'll allow powers to bypass any of the three major anticheat plugins, only for as long as needed for the ability. Once this is completed I will submit this to Hlot. Until then use caution, as like I said some powers aren't working correctly because of this at the moment.

I've removed anticheat since it was apparently even more annoying than the old one. We'll figure something out.

I already finished the bypass code, but outside Powers really all that need be done is the permissions need to be configured. If left to their default values, any of the anticheat plugins will cause some issues (NCP reporting EVERYTHING, AntiCheat not letting anyone do anything, etc).HeyLookoverthere wrote:I've removed anticheat since it was apparently even more annoying than the old one. It's up to you what you want to do. Personally I put NoCheat, NoCheatPlus and AntiCheat on my test server (for testing Powers, no server needs more than one of these) and managed to configure it so you barely notice they're there. If you decide to go that route again I could help configure it if you want.

Realized one of the newer powers was still in debug mode, so Hlot's probably getting spammed with console messages whenever a certain power is used. Was gonna send him a fixed update, but... well, refer to version 2.7.1's notes.
Version 2.8
Optimized code: player check is no longer a complex code in all powers, but is now instead a single code in its own class. This change alone reduced the plugin's size by 20kb. It's a big deal to me alright!

Vamprisim - Redone. Speed effect is no longer constant, but will kick in (along with a jump boost) when sprinting. When in direct sunlight you'll begin smoking, and your hunger will begin depleting. When at zero hunger, you ignite as you did before. Oh, and you're now the fifth person immune to fall damage, congrats.
Gut Check - Not really enough to be its own power, but punching enemies while barehanded slows them for a second. Players will double over in pain (read: be foreced to sneak for a second). Entities can only be gut-checked one every five seconds.
Vampric Strike - Removed. It was boring and simple. So to make it more awesome...
Bloodbend - Right-clicking an entity while barehanded freezes it in place. Their blood is forceably pulled from their body and fed to you, damaging them while healing you (first restoring hunger, then health if hunger is full). Your bending ability is strong enough to momentarily levitate your victim. Can only be used on a given entity once every thirty seconds. Superpower: When successfully bloodbending one entity, all nearby entities will also be effected, thereby allowing you to absorb from all of them simultaneously. Same cooldown applies to all entities affected.
Awaiting other requests before submission (don't think Hlot likes me sending him a new version every other day XD).

Ice barrage: freezes multiple enemies for 15 seconds( requires snow)
Mud shot: while using dirt you can blind enemies (for however long it's needed)
Stone throw: does damage ignoring armor rating (requires. Bow and cobblestone ammo type)
Also for defensive capabilities ability to disguise as a random block in the area

Snow Miser - Snowballs thrown at enemies freeze them in place for 3 seconds.

Let it never be said I don't listen...
Since I created Powers, feedback has come in two flavors: 1) "This is so awesome!" and 2) "This is so unfair" ; "this breaks the game". To remedy this, I created the Neutralizer power, which requires nothing more than an egg. Left-click to arm it, right-click to throw, and any players with powers near the impact lose their powers for 60 seconds.
However last night when I was on some other players wanted me to try their mob arena. I walked into it with nothing more than a sword and some ender pearls, knowing my powers would let me dominate it. For any normal player, such an armament would be a death sentence, but lo and behold, my powers allowed me to devastate the arena. Fair? No, not in the least.
Now I certainly don't expect someone to feel they have to stand there, chucking eggs just to make sure all is fair. We need something more automated, that a player can just set and forget.
And for that, I give you:
Neutralizer Beacon - By placing a lapis block, a lever on the side, and a redstone torch on top, a beacon is assembled. While on, smoke will rise from the block, indicating it is active. Players with powers who walk within 50 blocks of a beacon will have their powers disabled. You can flip the lever to turn off the beacon, reenabling powers. Keep in mind though, if any part of the beacon is destroyed, it stops working. Players who wish to use these are advised to hide them; in survival worlds there will be no rule against breaking these!
Oh yeah, and...
Neutralizer - Renamed to Neutralizer Grenade to reduce confusion.
Since I created Powers, feedback has come in two flavors: 1) "This is so awesome!" and 2) "This is so unfair" ; "this breaks the game". To remedy this, I created the Neutralizer power, which requires nothing more than an egg. Left-click to arm it, right-click to throw, and any players with powers near the impact lose their powers for 60 seconds.
However last night when I was on some other players wanted me to try their mob arena. I walked into it with nothing more than a sword and some ender pearls, knowing my powers would let me dominate it. For any normal player, such an armament would be a death sentence, but lo and behold, my powers allowed me to devastate the arena. Fair? No, not in the least.
Now I certainly don't expect someone to feel they have to stand there, chucking eggs just to make sure all is fair. We need something more automated, that a player can just set and forget.
And for that, I give you:
Neutralizer Beacon - By placing a lapis block, a lever on the side, and a redstone torch on top, a beacon is assembled. While on, smoke will rise from the block, indicating it is active. Players with powers who walk within 50 blocks of a beacon will have their powers disabled. You can flip the lever to turn off the beacon, reenabling powers. Keep in mind though, if any part of the beacon is destroyed, it stops working. Players who wish to use these are advised to hide them; in survival worlds there will be no rule against breaking these!

Finally a use for lapis! Another thought, that little map of yours is a clear advantage in a survival world. Since there's no way to block it (short of making our own client and requiring it's use to enter Skagos) could you post the link so that everyone (who wants to) can download it?
