Good starting games for 3DS Empty Good starting games for 3DS

So I'm going to buy a 3DS either tomorrow or next week now that its on sale.
What are good games that are out right now, and are actually worth the money?

So far I've been thinking about Super Mario Land or Zelda OoT.
Any other suggestions would be welcome

Mario's great, Zelda's good if you haven't played the game in a while. Mario Kart's the other obvious choice. RE:Mercinaries is still probably the game I've put the most time into, I popped on the other day and people still play it online.

I also plan on picking up Cave Story 3D soon, having never played the original.

Turned out the sale was for last week, so I went with the Super Mario pack.

I finally got RE: Mercs, and now I'm stuck at 3-5 (The first boss fight).
Did you still wanted to play Duo mode?
