Idea for a creative world?
What would the chances be of getting a flat map just for Creative?
There's been a few things I want to build that I just end up not doing because the sheer amount of landscaping I'd have to do would just be way too much. Even with World Edit, having to deal with landscaping has been keeping me from building anything too big.
I have a lot of pretty massive stuff I want to work on, but clearing thousands of blocks of land, on top of sealing up every cave and ravine, is just too much sometimes. The few times I do find a semi-flat, ravineless area to work in, I usually have to abandon it because whatever I'm building is too big and pushes into one of the 800 snow biomes that are in Ivalice. This has been a problem for me ever since world gen got changed after 1.7.3. If we have too many worlds, I understand. I'd probably be the only one getting any use of a world like this anyways.

That said I don't believe MultiVerse supports creating flat worlds, so we'd probably need to import one instead.

Its easy to just make one in SSP and then copy the files to the newly created world.

Looks like it's definitely possible. Just turn structure generation off and world type to Superflat and you get this. This combined with no animal or monster spawns would be perfect!

Should add Logblock to it too, or it may end up like beardland, with all the TNTing going on.

Got to ask, do you use mods for those shadows, or is it part of a texture pack?dustynbush wrote:

Actually, I found this comment on the MCForums.
'AFAIK, Multiverse did have the flat world (FLATLANDS) world generator already in it. So just /mv create creative FLATLAND should be the command (if i remember right)'

Thanks, it was /mv create {name} NORMAL -t FLAT.
Anyway "Myr" is the new flat creative map, I think I'm also going to only allow trusted people in there. At the moment it is full of slimes.

There's a command to turn off mobs for a given world in Multiverse.
/mv modify set monsters false
/mv modify set monsters false
