You can still play, what do you really need minecraft.net for? SOPA becoming law would be considerably more gay. Gayer then two men having sex, even.

Re: for everyone in the U.S.
I find it sad that we can get support for protests against something like SOPA or PIPA but little attention is paid to extreme bills like the NDAA and EEA <_<

SOPA is not dead, its shelved. Theres a very big difference.Obama recently came out saying he is opposed to the bill. However, he supports larger government. Sopa would give the government more power on the internet. You may not agree with obama, but he surely isnt an idiot. Hes seen what happened to godaddy, the IMMENSE backlash to these two bills. He knows how unpopular the bill is, and if he was to support the bill he (and his administration) knows that reelection would no longer be a dream, let alone an option. The bill isnt killed, its shelved, meaning it is still to be voted on. My theory is that if he gets reelected, he will pass SOPA. He would never oppose a bill that gave him, his bureaucracy, and the government in general more power. Its all about popularity and putting up a false front to give the people what they want to hear. Never take what a politician has to say as the ultimate truth, because you can fucking guarantee that it isnt. Regardless of what they say, what they tell you, and what their policies are, they are, above all else, looking out for themselves and their party.
Politics, and our First Past the Post voting system has inevitably, as was destined and bound to happen, has devolved into a two party fuck fest who are only out to help them selves, not us. In fact, they dont even want to help themselves. They want to hurt the other party. Whatever Democrats want, republicans want the opposite. Whatever Republicans want, democrats want the opposite, and for no other reason than to prevent them from getting what they want. They are ultimately hindering progress in the united states and are fucking each and every one of us in the ass.
Basically what im trying to say is, no matter what Obama says, no matter what Biden says, no matter what happens, keep strong with the opposition of this bill, and any bill similar. Dont brush it away and say "Oh we beat that one, now on to the next". Because even if SOPA never comes up again, i PROMISE you this is just the first of many attempts to alienate us of our rights, and try to make the American people comply to what the politicians want, and whats best for them. However, the beauty of this country, is that we can stop it. The internet is one of the last places where we can truly be free, where we have complete freedom of speech and expression. Sometimes it works in awful ways, but sometimes it works in incredible ways. We can't let them take that away from us. If we let them take this freedom, this unalienable right, away from us today, what right will be taken away tomorrow? Maybe freedom of the press, the right to bare arms, the right to peaceably assemble. We have already partially lost our right to a fair trial which is guaranteed to us in the constitution. In the bill of rights for fucks sake. I wouldnt be surprised if we woke up to full on police state in the near future if we dont take a stand now. We need to let Washington know that this is where we draw the line, because if we dont, no one else will.
People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people
