Discussion: how do you feel about /give, /warp
Obviously we've used a lot of /give. I originally planned to at some point disable it and make everyone work for their materials. /give obviously breaks the "economy" of our game world. on the other hand the awesome buildings we've made would have been much harder without it.
/warp is a similar issue. I for one noticed a lot more of the changes to the map people made and discovered more new things when I used to wander from place to place. I know bobby16may sees's /warp as a basic command that everyone above default should have.
so what are your thoughts?

I like the idea of an in game economy. Maybe we could use rare materials as currency or something along those lines. Have a set amount of goad which only the admin can /give. If the the economy seems to be slow, the Admin spawns more gold. The gold will be kept in a bank behind iron doors with a secret code using redstone technology. The walls can be made of bedrock to lower the chance of robbing banks.
What you could do to implement this is maybe test it out buy restarting the sever. Backup our current one and start a new one and start from scratch and keep this backed up so you can switch between worlds (if this is possible). This will help us see if we like the idea of working for our materials. Of course you can do it on our current sever. It'll just be kinda boring and hard because most of current building projects involve heavily depends on /give.
As for /warp. This seems essential if we expand and have many different towns and cities. It would be annoying trekking over landscapes with moutains and water. Of course we could develope a road system leading to each town, but it would take a while. Also of course, you don't have to use warp if you like the idea of walking.

yeah everyone but defaults now has warp. they can't have it or they could get out of jail.

Hey huys, its conmurf. I would really like a more explained ranking system, i.e. colors, how to rank up, etc.

Yeah i think /give is necessary to get a framework down for the server, but it should be taken away eventually. /warp should always stay in

I feel /give is possibly the greatest command in the game. I only really play minecraft to create things. It wouldn't be nearly as fun for me without it.
