Rest in Peace Lydia
She died fighting a bunch of bandits, apparently. Unfortunately it took me about three quests to realize she wasn't following me around anymore and by then it wasn't worth reloading my save. I actually feel a little bad, but at least I won't have to hear her say "I am sworn to carry your burdens" anymore.

I just take Shadowmere from the Dark Brotherhood quests. The thing solo'd a couple trolls the other day.
