Admins/HLOT: LB issue
So I just learned the hard way how careful you have to be when using '/lb rollback'. With a simple command I accidentally rolled back Ivalice one full day, undoing many people's work. I didn't do this intentionally, I even thought I was being careful. Here's exactly what happened:
I made a few block changes and wanted them undone. Not thinking I typed in '/lb rollback time 1d'. This comes back and tells me I'll be undoing like 10000+ block changes. Realizing I messed up the command, I then type '/lb rollback area 5 time 1d'. This correctly specifies the 20ish blocks I want undone. I type '/yes' and thirty seconds later get confirmation: 8000+ blocks rolled back. Just like that, a day's work undone. I specified NOT to clear the LogBlock log, but anywhere I used '/lb' in Ivalice after that only gave entries for changes before 9:30PM the previous day, meaning it cleared anyway.
Here's where I went wrong: I never typed '/no' for the first command, so when I typed '/yes' that's the command it executed, regardless of anything else I did after that point. I bring this up so others may become aware of how sensitive these commands can be.
xMini and xLy had been working on an underground tunnel for several hours when this happened and both wound up rage-quitting when I made it apparent that I couldn't undo it. They refused my assistance in repairing the damage.
I'm offering to assist anyone else who has been impacted by this error, and apologize for the inconvenience I've caused.

I don't think this took the server down, it was fine for a few minutes after it happened. But if it did... well, yeah my bad.
Re: Admins/HLOT: LB issue
Yeah I've made that mistake before, there is a "redo" thingy for LB, you'd have to look it up but in theory it should be undoable. Server's back up now, that was unrelated.

We never found out how large that stone cuboid thing was, or where it ended xD
Re: Admins/HLOT: LB issue
I accidently managed to do the same thing, but in Mereen trying to undo a previous rollback...
Suppose that the backup plugin comes in handy now

Re: Admins/HLOT: LB issue
for future reference, the command to undo a rollback is /lb redo. While we no longer have the /yes /no confirmations mentioned in sirrus' post, we also no longer have autoclearlog on, so you can //redo just about anything.
