1:1 recreation of New York City.

Post  HeyLookoverthere on Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:37 pm

I know it doesn't seem possible right now, but I do believe that if we get enough people (hopefully some of them new yorkers) that over time we can create the most accurate replica of NYC in minecraft. Google street view pictures should be good enough source material, otherwise if you have the funds I encourage you to take a trip out here and see it for yourselves.

For those of you who aren't interested, just don't build other bullshit in the NYC world. And don't movecraft planes into our twin towers. Too soon.

I dont know about the whole "take a trip" thing (although ive been there plenty of times), but id be up for helping. This is gonna take a shit ton of planning though. No running in and building random shit. Like one block is 1 meter, so someones gonna have to lay a perimeter and figure out the correct sizing. Its doable though, and ill totally help.

PS i vote dusty for doing the decorative aspects. Guys got skill.

Yeah I was thinking what the ratio should be, we'll figure it out. The best part about the planning is that it's largely already done. We just all have to make sure we're looking at the same blueprints/talking in the same units of distance. I agree about dusty, and you signing means a lot, thanks.
